I played Zane71 in a 5-0 game. His clock ran to 00:00.88 and stopped. He was able to make more moves without his clock running out. After a few moves a "network error" message and a "reconnecting" message appeared. After a minute or so there was a message that the game was aborted??? This is the third time this month that I have had clock issues cost me a won game. How are cheaters able to manipulate the clocks? I played for years on another site and never had this kind of thing occur. Help!
There was a 10-second server outage at the same time as your game.
As toad said; this looks to have been a fluke and you got hit with a server outage.
That being said; network manipulation & pinging IS a thing on virtually any online game.
Not much you can do about it; price of admission I guess.

If there was a server outage, why was he able to make more moves? Shouldn't the game be frozen at the last position of the server was not responding?
sometimes the clock doesn't work and it counts down for your opponent while YOUR internet lags. Therefore instead the time is taken from YOUR clock- because your opponent sees a different thing meaning your clock is running out. I've had the same problem multiple times...

Despite the poorly worded comment above, it is obvious that there is an issue with the clocks. Also, some of the explanations offered make no sense.I have the highest download and upload rates Comcast offers in the area and my ping is 19.1ms. Neither upload, ping or server failures explain why one player's clock stops and he can still move or why another player's clock runs but he can't make moves. Please! find out what's going on with the clocks and fix it.
