The Astonishing 300-Move Draw Made By Two Lichess Players

I wouldn't be surprised if both of them needed a new mouse after that game lmao
Dear all,
If this was the reason these players were banned, they should get unbanned. Here’s why:
-It’s casual
-It’s a speed test in which the aim is to flag your opponent. You are not allowed to take pieces unless you don’t have enough space. Generally you have to stay on your own half of the board (split through the middle with a horizontal line). It is not arranged, as some are suggesting.
-lichess.org/z4q3UEBH/black Here is a speed test another player did. The starting position does not matter.
-Some may say there was the use of keyboard (a banned tool used to assist speed), but it is likely they just lag (at least @Statham_13 for sure).

Thanks

I agree with very point, I really hope that both of them will get unbanned.

Yeah XD
Tbh that really wasn't fair; I MEAN ONE OF THEM IS A CM
And also they could've been really good at predicting moves and they could've premoved if you think about it. I don't know :(

All I know is that im no expert in this imao
"To me, I think this game is hot and I think it should be the one earning the Game Of The Month award."

Absolutely not. That would encourage people to start doing these kinds of things. Also, I don't think they were banned solely for that game. They participated in a tournament where only the two of them played those long games, and Lichess suspects it was scripted. This violates their fair play policy, resulting in the tournament being deleted. If they had been paired through the normal lobby method and played the same games, I don't think they would have been banned.

Yes but I’m afraid it wasn’t scripted. It’s called a speed test; if you don’t know what that is feel free to read my message.

Yes i read and you just proved it was pre-arranged from the get-go "You are not allowed to take pieces unless you don’t have enough space. Generally you have to stay on your own half of the board"

My friend you will now have noticed, I hope, that they are trying to use a makeshift version of a different game mode (that hasn’t been created yet and probably will not ever be because it is not chess), rather than the misuse of the standard game mode. Also, the whole tournament was casual; there has never been a ban for casual gameplay. It does not affect anyone at all. Leave them be please :)
