Hi! I began coaching in 2016, and since then, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of students, from Grandmasters like GM Nijat Abasov and GM Vasif Durarbayli to enthusiastic newcomers. One of my non-titled students, Can Isik, even tied for 1st place in a city championship, while another student, Nathan Sun, won an interschool tournament in New Zealand. These accomplishments are proof that with the right guidance, anyone can achieve great things!
My coaching style is tailored to each student. In our first lesson, I analyze your games to identify your strengths and areas for improvement. Based on this, I design a personalized learning plan. Lessons can be lecture-based, where I introduce key concepts, or interactive, involving solving exercises and practical play. Together, we’ll turn your challenges into strengths—and have fun along the way!

Teaching methodology
In my lessons, I focus on one of the following topics:
1) Showing mistakes in the analysis of games;
2) Sharping combinational vision;
3) Showing typical endgames;
4) Building opening repertoire;
5) Working on the positional and strategic topics;
Additionally, I can cover specific topics dependent on the student. During the first lesson, I analyze student's games, finding the student's strong and weak sides. Based on that, I plan my future lessons, which might be either lecture-based (where I introduce some topic) or interactive-based (where solving or playing is involved).
I use Skype for classes, however, I can also use Zoom, Google Meet, as well as Chess.com Classrooms. I prefer to use ChessBase software to describe the chess games and positions. If you want to contact, you can message me in Lichess.org.
