About me

Would you like to learn chess or improve your level with a professional and experienced chess coach? Hello, I'm Oniel and I can help you to achieve it!

I am a professor and programmer, but I am also passionate about chess for more than 20 years. I have participated in numerous tournaments and competitions, obtaining excellent results. I have the title of Candidate Master and I have taught hundreds of students of all ages and levels.

Chess is much more than a game. It is an intellectual challenge, a source of knowledge, a form of artistic expression, a tool for personal development. With my classes, you will not only learn the techniques, strategies and tricks of chess, but you will also enjoy a learning process that is fun, dynamic and adapted to your needs and goals.

It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player. I can help you improve your game, prepare you to compete or just have fun with chess. You just need to be willing to learn and have fun.

Contact me right now through the messaging system of this page or through the email eniolw@gmail.com.

Playing experience

I have been an active chess player since my childhood, with participation in national and international tournaments. I have been national absolute runner-up of the Venezuelan Chess Federation (FVA, 2016) and absolute national runner-up in the top-level tournament of Venezuela (2018-2019). I have also participated in the National Games of University Professors of Venezuela, achieving the gold medal in the first board in the last two consecutive editions of the event.

Teaching experience

Chess is one of my greatest passions and professions. I have been teaching chess in schools, universities and online platforms for more than 10 years. I have created an educational software for teaching chess, which has been recognized and awarded for its quality and innovation. I have a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate degree, which qualify me for teaching.

My students are quite satisfied with me. This is a sample of the students I have worked with on this platform alone and who have written favorable reviews about me:

Teaching methodology

I offer you a training plan or coaching adapted to your expectations, goals and learning style!

Chess is a game that requires different skills and strategies. That is why, in my lessons, I use active and passive learning methods, among others, so that you can develop your chess potential in a comprehensive way. I will teach you the techniques, tactics and tricks of chess, but I will also make you think, reason and create your own solutions. I will provide you with resources, exercises and feedback to practice and improve your game. I will show you some educational software for teaching chess, which are innovative and fun tools.

I'm available to communicate with you by email, Telegram, Skype, Hangouts or any other method that works for both of us.

I invite you to review some of the custom lessons for intermediate-advanced players that I have uploaded to Youtube.
