Soy ingeniero químico egresado de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y un apasionado del ajedrez desde los 9 años. Desde el momento en que descubrí este deporte, supe que sería una parte fundamental de mi vida.

A lo largo de los años, he tenido la oportunidad de competir en múltiples torneos nacionales e internacionales . He jugado en ciudades como Medellín, Pereira, Cali y Bogotá, enfrentándome a jugadores de alto nivel y creciendo constantemente en cada partida.

Hoy, más allá de competir, mi objetivo es enseñar. A través de clases personalizadas, busco inspirar a nuevos jugadores a descubrir el poder del ajedrez y a desarrollar su potencial sobre el tablero, sin importar su edad o nivel.
I am a chemical engineer who graduated from the National University of Colombia and have been passionate about chess since I was 9 years old. From the moment I discovered this sport, I knew it would be a fundamental part of my life.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to compete in multiple national and international tournaments. I have played in cities such as Medellín, Pereira, Cali, and Bogotá, facing high-level players and constantly growing with each game.

Today, beyond competing, my goal is to teach. Through personalized classes, I seek to inspire new players to discover the power of chess and develop their potential on the board, regardless of their age or level.

En 2018, viajé a España para continuar mi formación ajedrecística y participar en eventos de talla internacional. Allí obtuve el título de campeón del Abierto de blitz en Porto Cristo y el tercer lugar en el torneo de Alcudia. Estas experiencias me motivaron aún más a seguir desarrollando mi juego y compartir mis conocimientos con otros.

De regreso en Colombia, he logrado destacadas participaciones en torneos como el Internacional Feria de las Flores y el Internacional de la Raza, ambos en Medellín, donde continué cosechando logros y fortaleciendo mi visión del ajedrez como una herramienta para el crecimiento mental, la disciplina y la toma de decisiones estratégicas.
In 2018, I traveled to Spain to continue my chess training and participate in international events. There, I won the Porto Cristo Blitz Open championship and came in third place in the Alcudia tournament. These experiences motivated me even more to continue developing my game and sharing my knowledge with others.

Back in Colombia, I have achieved outstanding results in tournaments such as the International Flower Fair and the International Race, both in Medellín, where I continued to reap achievements and strengthen my vision of chess as a tool for mental growth, discipline, and strategic decision-making.

Inicié mi labor como docente de ajedrez en el año 2018, impartiendo clases presenciales a niños y jóvenes en diferentes instituciones educativas. Desde entonces, descubrí en la enseñanza del ajedrez una verdadera vocación, que me ha permitido compartir mis conocimientos y al mismo tiempo aprender de cada uno de mis estudiantes.

Gracias a esta experiencia, he tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con estudiantes de diferentes partes del mundo, incluyendo Alemania, Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico, Canadá, España y Argentina. Esta diversidad cultural ha enriquecido enormemente mi práctica docente, permitiéndome adaptar mis métodos a distintos contextos y estilos de aprendizaje.

Actualmente, continúo impartiendo clases a varios alumnos de diferentes países, con quienes mantengo un vínculo cercano y un proceso de aprendizaje constante. Enseñar ajedrez se ha convertido no solo en mi profesión, sino también en una forma de conectar con personas alrededor del mundo a través del pensamiento estratégico, la disciplina y el amor por este juego ciencia.
I began my work as a chess teacher in 2018, giving in-person classes to children and young people at different educational institutions. Since then, I have discovered a true vocation in teaching chess, which has allowed me to share my knowledge and at the same time learn from each of my students.

Thanks to this experience, I have had the opportunity to work with students from different parts of the world, including Germany, the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Spain, and Argentina. This cultural diversity has greatly enriched my teaching practice, allowing me to adapt my methods to different contexts and learning styles.

Currently, I continue to teach several students from different countries, with whom I maintain a close relationship and a constant learning process. Teaching chess has become not only my profession, but also a way to connect with people around the world through strategic thinking, discipline, and a love for this game of science.

Como ingeniero químico he sido docente con formación en ciencias exactas y amplia experiencia en la enseñanza de Química, Física y Cálculo en reconocidas instituciones educativas. Ha desempeñado labores como profesor de bachillerato en el Gimnasio Personalizado los Pilares y en el Colegio San Jorge de Inglaterra, como profesor de ajedrez a nivel competitivo implementando metodologías activas y personalizadas orientadas al desarrollo del pensamiento científico y crítico. A nivel superior, ha impartido clases universitarias de Cálculo, física y Química, logrando altos índices de comprensión y desempeño académico en sus estudiantes. También cuento con destacada trayectoria como docente de preuniversitarios en la ciudad de Pitalito, preparando a jóvenes para el ingreso a la educación superior mediante estrategias pedagógicas efectivas y orientadas a resultados. Así mismo, soy streamer desde hace dos años, donde retransmito por Twitch y por youtube, hace algun tiempo. As a chemical engineer, I have been a teacher with training in exact sciences and extensive experience in teaching chemistry, physics, and calculus at renowned educational institutions. I have worked as a high school teacher at Gimnasio Personalizado los Pilares and Colegio San Jorge de Inglaterra, as a competitive chess teacher implementing active and personalized methodologies aimed at developing scientific and critical thinking. At the higher level, I have taught university classes in calculus and chemistry, achieving high levels of comprehension and academic performance among my students. I also have an outstanding track record as a pre-university teacher in the city of Pitalito, preparing young people for entry into higher education through effective, results-oriented teaching strategies. I have also been a streamer for two years, broadcasting on Twitch and YouTube for some time now.

I am known for my dedication to teaching, pedagogical innovation, and commitment to academic excellence. I like to teach chess by explaining it with my own games and with games from the best players in the world. We also practice ideas in the middle game and train for highly difficult endgames.
