NM Antonio Micaias Silva de Sousa

Hi, I am Micaias Sousa, 24, a National master from Ceará, Brazil.
I started to play chess when i was 9 years old, but just take it seriously some years ago. Since then, i have been studying and dedicating some time to study, teach chess, and also play tournaments as well ( and have many achievements that i am very proud of). I believe that chess can be everything, and mainly a way to a intelligent and happy life

I have been playing chess competitively since 2021, having competed in numerous classical, rapid and blitz chess tournaments. Since then, with effort and dedication, balancing chess with other areas of my life (studies, college, etc.), I have been able to compete and achieve podiums in different tournaments, especially at the municipal, state and regional levels, as well as national university tournaments (I represented the state of Ceará twice in national university games). As a highlight, I like to remember when I was top 3 in the 2023 Classical Chess State Championship, university champion in 2023 and runner-up in 2024, top 3 in the 2024 Blitz Chess State Championship, in addition to numerous podiums in rapid chess tournaments. I obtained my title in 2025, after a great performance at the Fortaleza Chess Open.
