About me
I am a professional chess coach and former poker player. I graduated from Boston University in 1995 with a B.A. in psychology. I lived in the US until 2004 when I relocated to Budapest , Hungary. I have been teaching chess professionally since 1995 !
Playing experience
USCF master title in 1991, USCF Senior Master 1994, FIDE master 1995. International master 1999. Highest published FIDE 2463. USCF 2513. 3 time New England chess champion. 2 time Massachusetts state champion. Best tournament results include 2nd place Australian Masters 1996 , =1st Foxwoods Open 2001 =3rd Chicago Open 2001 Former Boylston (Boston) Chess Club Champion, and I have Qualified for and played in 2 invitational US Championships.

Specialties include strategic play, endgames and building opening repertoires. I also stress practical and psychological aspects.
Teaching methodology
I prepare for all lessons in advance. Lessons are personalized. Weekly meetings are recommended , every other week minimum. Homework on request. Available to play training games at an hourly rate !
