About me
This is Enamul Hossain, Grandmaster and FIDE Trainer from Bangladesh. I am a six-time Bangladesh Chess Champion and have represented my country 13 times at the Chess Olympiad. As the 5th Grandmaster of Bangladesh, I have extensive experience both as a player and a coach.
Playing experience
I have competed at the highest level and achieved notable victories, including defeating GM Pavel Eljanov in the first round of the 2007 Chess World Cup, advancing to the second round. In the same year, I secured 10th place in the Asian Continental Championship. I have also won an Open GM tournament in India and placed highly in numerous international events. With years of experience facing top-level competition, I bring deep insights into practical tournament play and preparation.
Teaching experience
As a Grandmaster and FIDE Trainer, I have worked with both rising talents and established players. I have trained Indian Grandmasters such as Sandipan Chanda, Surya Shekhar Ganguly, and G.N. Gopal, as well as many promising young players from India, the UK, and the US. My coaching focuses on opening preparation, middlegame strategies, and endgame mastery, tailored to each student's individual needs. With a personalized and practical approach, I help players improve their calculation, decision-making, and tournament performance.
Teaching methodology
I analyze my students' recent tournament games to identify their weaknesses and areas for improvement. Based on this, I create a personalized training plan to address their specific needs. My primary focus is on developing overall chess-playing skills, ensuring that students not only fix their weaknesses but also build a strong foundation in strategic thinking, calculation, and decision-making. The ultimate goal is to help them perform better in tournaments and progress as well-rounded players.
