🌟 International Master from Spain.

Over the years, I have competed in hundreds of tournaments and coached students from a wide range of levels and countries. Through both playing and teaching, I have developed a deep understanding of what it takes to improve efficiently and achieve long-term progress.

I currently work with only a small number of highly committed students. My goal is not to teach as many people as possible, but to provide a high level of personalized guidance and support to those who are serious about improvement.

If you are looking for casual lessons, I am probably not the right coach. If you are willing to work consistently and follow a structured training process, I would be happy to help.

🏆 I won't spend much time talking about my achievements here. All my tournament results, ratings, titles, and games are publicly available, both online and over the board, so anyone interested can easily look them up.

What I believe is more relevant for a prospective student is the experience behind those games.

Over the years I have played thousands of serious games in virtually every format, against players ranging from beginners to grandmasters. More importantly, I have never been a player who sticks to a narrow repertoire. Throughout my career I have experimented with and competed using a very wide range of openings, structures, and styles.

This breadth of experience allows me to work comfortably with almost any repertoire. Rather than trying to force students into openings I happen to play myself, I can usually help them improve the systems they already use and understand the positions that arise from them.

Whether your style is tactical or positional, classical or unconventional, chances are I have practical experience in similar positions and can help you navigate them.

🎯 I started coaching at the age of 14 and have worked with well over 100 students throughout the years. Some achieved excellent results, some made little progress, and many fell somewhere in between. Coaching for such a long time has taught me an important lesson: improvement is always a joint effort between coach and student.

I respect the privacy of my students and therefore prefer not to fill this profile with rating gains or success stories. Instead, I will simply say that after many years of coaching, I have a much better understanding of what works, what doesn't, and what is required for a player to reach their potential.

Because of this experience, I have become increasingly selective about who I work with. I genuinely believe that when a student is highly committed and willing to fully trust the process, I can provide exceptional guidance and create an environment for maximum improvement.

One experience that is public and worth mentioning is my work with the Asturias U-16 team in 2024. Asturias is a relatively small region compared to traditional Spanish chess powers such as Madrid or Catalonia, with fewer resources and a much smaller player base. Despite producing several talented generations that came close, Asturias had not won the Spanish U-16 Team Championship in more than twenty years.

In 2024, I had the opportunity to coach a particularly talented generation of players. I invested an enormous amount of effort into preparing and supporting the team throughout the season, and together we achieved something historic by winning the national title. While no coach wins anything alone, I am proud of the role I played in helping that team reach its full potential and accomplish something that many people thought would never happen.

The standard program includes:

• Four private lessons per month

• Daily support and follow-up

• Personalized training plans

• Regular game analysis

• Continuous monitoring of progress

Every student begins with a complete assessment. I analyze their games, identify strengths and weaknesses, and design a training plan tailored to their needs and goals.

Between lessons, I stay in contact with students to ensure they remain consistent, motivated, and focused on the right areas of improvement.

Because I provide a high level of personal attention, I only accept a limited number of students at any given time.
