About me

Greetings on my profile!

About me

My name is Martin Istvanovszki and I am from Hungary. I earned the FIDE Master title in 2010 at the age of 18, a few years after winning the U12 European Championship in rapid, which I am very proud of. I've been coaching beginners and also advanced competitor players since 2012. I consider myself as a hyperactive positional player who feel really well in sharp positions.

Coaching method

The workouts I provide are based on carefully constructed material that I have developed myself, which I tailor to individual preference. Of course I also welcome individual requests!
My goal is to reform the way my students think and to get them to see the chessboard intuitively.

My speciality is the mysteries of middle games. My strenght is to analyse the positions and find the balance between the statics and dynamics. I can help you to understand and improve in the hidden subtetlies of positions.

My passion is the very sharp openings and minor lines like Sicilian Dragon, Grand Prix attack etc.

What you can expect:

Personalized Guidance: I will focus on your strenghts and areas for improvement, providing targeted guidance to enhance your chess skill.

Engaging Lessons: Get ready for interactive and engaging lessons that will challenge your mind and fuel your passion for chess.

Analytical Approach: We'll analyze famous chess matches and your own games, allowing you to learn from both triumphs and challenges.

Tactical Exercises: Sharpen your tactical prowess through a variety of exercises and puzzles designed to enhance your pattern recognition and calculation abilities.

Positive Learning Environment: As your coach, I am here to support you every step of the way. Feel free to ask questions and share your thoughts.

Prices

One hour (60 minutes) costs 30 euros, which can be paid via PayPal or bank transfer.

The materials I build can also be purchased as a package at a discounted price, or of course I can offer a volume discount.
