Mi nombre es Maicol Benavides, poseo el título de Maestro Fide de ajedrez desde los 12 años, y juego ajedrez desde los 8. En toda mi trayectoria ajedrecística siempre he sido un jugador activo en Venezuela desde mis comienzos en el deporte. Ahora tengo como objetivo ayudar a otras personas a cumplir sus sueños y metas en el ajedrez a través de mi conocimiento y experiencia personal.

Hi there! My name is Maicol Benavides, I have held the title of Chess Master Fide since I was 12 years old, and I play chess since I was 8. In all my chess career I have always been an active player in Venezuela since my beginnings in the sport. Now I aim to help other people fulfill their dreams and goals in chess through my knowledge and personal experience.

Como lo mencioné anteriormente, juego ajedrez activamente desde los 8 años. He participado en competencias en diversas competencias nacionales e internacionales en las cuales he obtenido muy buenos resultados.

As I mentioned earlier, I have been actively playing chess since I was 8 years old. I have participated in various competitions national and international competitions in which I have obtained good results.

Empecé mi carrera de entrenador hace poco más de un año. Me gusta mucho ayudar a las personas que vienen en ascenso en su carrera, ya que como entrenador, es una satisfacción muy grande ver como los alumnos se sienten orgullosos de su ardúo trabajo en el entrenamiento al momento de obtener los resultados previamente propuestos al comenzar el trabajo con el entrenador o la persona de la cual adquiere los conocimientos y habilidades.

I started my coaching career just over a year ago. I really like helping people who are on the rise in their career, as a coach, it is a great satisfaction to see how the students feel proud of their hard work in training when obtaining the previously proposed results at the beginning of the Work with the coach or the person from whom you acquire the knowledge and skills.

Me considero un jugador dinámico y bastante táctico, me gusta entrar en posiciones abiertas y agresivas ya que debido a mi estilo de juego es lo que me resulta mejor. Como entrenador, me considero especialista en las diferentes fases del juego, pero también centro mi enfoque en las fallas más recurrentes que tenga el alumno, mediante el previo análisis de sus partidas.

I consider myself a dynamic and quite tactical player, I like to go into open and aggressive positions because due to my style of play it is what is best for me. As a coach, I consider myself a specialist in the different phases of the game, but I also focus my focus on the most frequent failures that the student has, through the previous analysis of their games.

Actualmente en el Internet, hay mucha información de ajedrez de la cual cualquiera podría nutrirse y progresar. Pero en mi opinión podría decir que toda esta información, implementada correctamente por un entrenador con experiencia ajedrecística, más las herramientas que el mismo entrenador podría utilizar como medio de implemento (libros, bases de datos, revistas de ajedrez, enciclopedias de apertura, etc), puede subir considerablemente el nivel y rendimiento del atleta. Ofrezco un entrenamiento altamente capacitado, bastante interactivo y con un enfoque generalizado en todas las facetas del juego, medio juego, aperturas, finales, táctica, y motivación personal. Y también la completa ayuda durante los torneos de ajedrez, en la preparación de las partidas y el respectivo análisis. En general, ofrezco todas la herramientas y orientaciones adecuadas para el desarrollo completo del jugador, basado en mi conocimiento y experiencia ajedrecística.

But in my opinion I could say that all this information, correctly implemented by a coach with chess experience, plus the tools that the coach himself could use as a means of implementation (books, databases, chess magazines, opening encyclopedias, etc.) , can considerably increase the level and performance of the athlete. I offer highly trained, highly interactive training with a general focus on all facets of the game, midgame, openings, finals, tactics, and personal motivation. And also the complete help during the chess tournaments, in the preparation of the games and the respective analysis. In general, I offer all the appropriate tools and guidelines for the complete development of the player, based on my knowledge and chess experience.
