About me

I am Sara Adel , a seasoned chess coach from Egypt, dedicated to guiding enthusiasts on their journey to mastery. With a unique blend of expertise and personalized attention, I bring a passion for chess and teaching to every session.

Playing experience

My journey in chess began at the age of 4 in 2007, where I quickly discovered my love for the game. Over the years, I honed my skills and achieved remarkable success. Notably, I clinched first place in two African youth tournaments, achieving a perfect score. Additionally, I secured first place in four Arab tournaments, along with numerous national ones. These experiences have not only shaped my playing style but also instilled in me a deep understanding of the game's intricacies and the importance of strategic thinking.

Teaching experience

Over the past six years, I've had the privilege of coaching at three prestigious academies, both online and offline. With a national coaching license to my name, I've developed a comprehensive approach to instruction, tailored to meet the diverse needs of students of all ages and skill levels. My coaching philosophy revolves around fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, where students feel empowered to explore and excel in their chess journey.

Other experiences

Recently, I successfully attended an online seminar and passed the exam to become a FIDE Arbiter and am now awaiting the official awarding of the title upon approval from the next FIDE Council.

I also participated in the 'Chess in Education' seminar, organized by the International School Chess Federation (ISCF), earning a certificate that enhances my ability to integrate chess into school curriculums.

Additionally, I hold a National Coaching License and possess official authorization from the Egyptian Chess Federation to implement structured chess programs in schools.

I also hold a Bachelor of Laws degree.

Best skills

My strongest skills lie in both chess and teaching. With a deep understanding of the game's intricacies and a commitment to imparting knowledge, I strive to foster a love for chess in each of my students. I adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, ensuring personalized instruction tailored to their needs.

Teaching methodology

My teaching methodology revolves around meticulous lesson planning and interactive learning. I focus on specific themes in each lesson, incorporating example games and homework to reinforce learning. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of game analysis as a crucial tool for improvement. By dissecting students' games together, I provide invaluable insights, helping students understand strategic concepts and identify areas for growth. Through a supportive and engaging learning environment, I empower students to develop their analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and overall chess proficiency.
