The U.S. Championship is a 12-player round-robin taking place in Saint Louis Chess Club, from October 6th to October 18th. With $194,000 in total price money, players will also be competing for the coveted title of 2021 U.S. Champion and qualification into the World Championship cycle.

The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds (increment) per move starting from move one.
