The Singapore International Open 2024 is held in conjunction with the FIDE World Championship 2024.

Players from around the world have joined this major tournament, which is divided into two categories:

Group A is designed with a rating floor of 1800 with accelerated pairings implemented for 3 rounds to improve title norm chances for eligible players.
Group B shall observe standard Swiss pairings with a rating ceiling of 1900.

The Singapore International Open 2024 is at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre, minutes from the FIDE World Championship Singapore 2024 match between World Champion Ding Liren and Challenger Dommaraju Gukesh. Participants experience the thrills of a World Championship match in person, as well as enjoy an exciting array of ancillary events planned around the match.
