2 Notable Hans Quotes + My Opinions on Stuff

Congrats on that great win and even greater rant, Hans Niemann.

1) "Who needs drugs when you've got chess?"
This is true, but not only chess gets a person in a flow, so do family, friends, nature, art, learning, sports, playing cards, goals.

Oh yeah, don't forget the occasional sweet. What's on your list?

2) "I wish you all eternal suffering so that you may feel this level of bliss."
"Eternal suffering" is too long. People need hope, but yes hard times help us appreciate good times.

I got some photos of Hans in St. Louis, once at the Club for Sinquefield Cup. I took pics as he was walking by, and he kindly stopped to sign my board. Then at 2 venues for US Championships Opening Ceremonies. All of these were exceptional chess adventures and road trips. The last time he said he knows who I am. How intriguing. Or did I mishear him? He started posing, because they all are aware of my incessant photo taking and are a captive audience, and at closing time Hans took a pic with me & others...Carissa Yip and Jennifer Yang and Drew Tang. Thanks to all who indulged me. It was a blast.

After looking into the latest Hans news, about the St. Louis Club not inviting him for 2024 due to the damage he did at the historic Chase Hotel, I will say this. Hans should consider that the Hotel may have a standard policy about calling the police and press charges against anyone who damages their property. The Club may have been in the embarrassing position to ask the Hotel not to have Hans arrested. Imagine the memes of Hans in handcuffs, etc. If there's any truth in this thought experiment, Hans might reconsider this outcome as the least painful alternative and call himself fortunate. My excellent policy is "Don't do anything that could get you arrested."

Hans will have exciting new adventures in 2024 in his quest to WCC. The events at the St. Louis Chess Club and the World Chess Hall of Fame, plus the events put on by US Chess, keep me going back. It's a chess watcher's paradise. I give them 10/10.

Hans is one of those chess personalities with some eye-catching media, thumbnails, etc.
Do you think he does his own? See full game video Hikaru-Hans on Niemann's YouTube channel.

Hans could give me an interview. Will he?

Thank you for reading this far. Cheers!
