The Holy Bible gets dark quickly

In Mathew's story of Jesus an endearing moment turns dramatically

Mathew

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

Consider

Jesus would be an orphan alone among his own people because his "kingdom is not of this world", "No one has seen his Father in heaven at any time", and seeing Jesus separating from everyone else including his disciples to pray to his father clearly establishes the reality which for Jesus was 100% work and responsibility, 100% perilous, and 100% His path alone. So this enchanted moment after His baptism when they see The Spirit coming down and they hear a voice from heaven is unique. The recognition, validation, and approval described was clear to everyone present manifest bodily in the person of Jesus, Christ.

Mathew

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
