French-Canadian from Hearst, a small town in northern Ontario. Born in 1991.

Played a lot of chess in my youth (from ages 9 to 16). Took some lessons from a local teacher and competed in many Canadian Chess Federation events. Was one of the top players in my age group in northern Ontario. Failed miserably at the national level a couple of times but they were good experiences nonetheless. Stopped playing competitively after the club was fell apart. Been casually playing on and off since then.
