I have played chess since I was about 11 years old, I was never formally taught, I never could abide studying openings but I get by. Now played for close to 60 years and I am still fascinated by the game. I use Lichess to keep sharp for my matches in two local leagues but I am just a standard club player for all my efforts. Still involved with chess admin for our local association. Currently locked up at home to avoid any chance of getting the virus. Glad we have got our club tournament on line because I am beginning to miss playing my fellow club members.
