Storefjell Day 1 - The Beginnings of the Games

The Life

Waking up to the usual deceptive weather, we prepared ourselves for the day. Breakfast was eaten with a nice view to some cows that looks like Highlad Cattle. Many Norwegians can easily confuse those with Muskox. I did not ask what they were, but they made me think of chocolate milk. No rain was observed yet.

Since my beloved wasn't here for the chess, and also isn't on vacation leave, he had to drive back home.

Outside of chess, people have been less talkative than before, but I assume it is due to the number of participants mingling. There were even people who remember me from when my weight was around as many kilos lighter as years it was since the first tournaments we met, if we only count from eleven and up. Good times.

The Chess

Yesterday

The welcome blitz tournament went surprisingly well. At least according to my ratings. There were two games I lost with "touched piece has to move", even if one of them was lost regardless.

Today

I got super lucky and ended up in opening thematics I have used countless times on stream!

Tomorrow

As a result from the game above, the game tomorrow will be on board 2. I don't know if it will be broadcast, but you can look for me in "NM i sjakk Klasse 4".
