Kelly Boor continues to "Boom" with consecutive victories in the Chess Bus Limit
The Chess Bus Limited continues to roll out exciting Chess !Chess Bus Limited – $100 GTD Weekly Recap
This week’s Chess Bus Limited U2400 featured eight determined players, sharp tactics, and another inspiring story at the top of the standings.
1st Place – Kelly Boor (McBooms) – 6 pts · Perf 2484
For the second consecutive week, Kelly Boor took first but now with a perfect 6–0 score.
Having learned chess only a year and a half ago while recovering from a car accident and head injury, Kelly has turned perseverance into performance. She dedicated this win to Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky, whose lessons guided her youtube studies. His recent passing makes this dedication especially moving — a heartfelt tribute to an educator who inspired players everywhere.
2nd Place – FM Carl Boor (boorchess) – 5 pts · Perf 2310
FM Carl Boor, Chess Bus founder and long-time coach, finished close behind with 5 points.
3rd Place – José Abutal (jose312683) – 4 pts · Perf 2002
Making his Chess Bus Limited debut, José Abutal, an Ohio-based USCF Expert, battled through a series of tough games to secure clear third. His solid showing adds another strong Ohio name to the Chess Bus ranks.

Some positions from the event to solve and inspire.
FM BoorChess underestimated McBooms and grabbed a poison pawn without making a blunder Check. Can you spot
how this allowed the eventual tournament winner to take the lead ?
In round four Kelly again had to demonstrate how to punish a mistaken pawn grab. Here black (Jose Abutal) has just played Rxe4
can you spot the sequence to bring home a winning position ?

By playing Qe8+ followed by d6 (utilizing the pin) Kelly created a crushing advantage.
Against NM Michael Wang, Kelly Boor played some enterprising opening gambit play and caught black's king in the center then going full "Morphy Mode"
for the win.
I will attempt to leave the game as a gif to show the full excitement.
