How to Win Every Chess Game

ChessOpeningTacticsStrategy
What to expect when playing a chess player stronger than you.

Have you wondered why you are always losing chess games? (Unless you're a troll). Well, we are going to look at some tactics on how to win most chess games you play. So, what are we waiting for? Let's get started!

#1: Chess Books

Purchasing a chess book on eBay, Amazon, AliExpress, etc. could really help you learn the important openings you need to win the chess games that you play.

#2: Watching Grandmasters

As an experienced chess player for 5½ years, I can really guarantee you that watching GMs, NMs, IMs, and more titled players could really boost your tactics, strategies, and IQ (not necessarily).

#3: Play Balanced Positioning

If the opponent is attacking, defend by blocking the check or taking the piece for an exchange (I would not recommend that, but I sometimes would depending on the position you're in, if you are in a dangerous one, don't because that'll weaken up your pieces). If the opponent defends your threat, find another way to go around to make another threat. If all else fails, take your time and think about a move that you could do. (For the last sentence, skip to #5 for similar reference).

#4: Look at the Opponent's Weaknesses

Taking a look back at #3, we could really understand when to play balanced positioning. But now, we are going to be looking at the opponent's weaknesses. Here are some weaknesses the opponent may have:

  • Blundering Pieces
  • Missing Checkmates
  • Missing Good Moves
  • Taking out the Queen too early

And to see and not have weaknesses, take time looking at the board, and don't worry about your time, which we are going to discuss in #5...

#5: Avoid Ultrabullet and/or Bullet

DO NOT PLAY BULLET AND/OR ULTRABULLET. On second thought, why am I saying this? Well, for me, I used to be a big fan of Ultrabullet and Bullet. But I stopped and went on to do puzzles, blog posts, and forum posts. Ultrabullet and/or Bullet could not give you time to think.

#6: Puzzles

Doing puzzles could really boost your tactics and openings. Try to open your notes and save the puzzle you did for future games.

Thank you for looking at my blog, goodbye and have a great day!
