How to improve your play and rating for the Racing Kings gamemode!

ChessChess variantLichess
these are some tactics and openings i use that got my rating from 1300 to 1500 :)

STRATEGY'S FOR THE WHITE PIECES.

First up! I would highly suggest that if you play as white instead of going for the dark squared bishop to go from f2 to d4 (pinning the rook and queen) i would take blacks bishop with the knight on e1 and taking blacks bishop on c2 then put the dark squared bishop on d4! it should look something like this :) the best move for black is to play bishop b2 taking the knight and defending against your bishop attack!

Ok! now time for the best positions!

since you cannot give check or play a move that gives check this makes positioning a little bit harder.
These are the positions i would recommend for every piece!

Queen: Keep it where it is, unless there is a situation you need it you will 100% need it for the endgame of Racing Kings at the 1400-2000 level.

both Rooks: they should be used to get the king across to the blurred squares at the end since you can't check this is hard leme give you an example!

to combat this and to get the king on the 7'th rank you would need to bring your rook on g2 to g7 and don't worry the queen can't take because no checks allowed (just to clarify i was in a rush to get these screenshots i would recommend to have in this position a rook on g1 so if i move the rook to g7 and the rook takes i take back with the rook on g1:)

knights: These pieces have a ton of importance in the opening but once you go to the mid-game/end-game period these are really hard to use except in certain cases but in the opening i would recommend keeping your e2 knight there just in case in the opening when you do the first thing i said in the article you and the bishop or queen takes your queen you can take it with the knight but in very specific situations where you have to move it i would recommend moving it.

bishops: These are so important in the opening, mid-game, end-game. Since you can't give checks or make moves that put you or another player in check you can use this to your ability to take pieces defend pieces and for opening strategy.

And you might ask, "What happens if i play as black?" well i will give you tips :).

STRATEGY'S FOR THE BLACK PIECES.

Ok let's say this (use this board for coordinate references)

Ok, white play's bishop d4 attacking your rook well what do you do? the best move to block this is king a3 blocking this attack because of no checks allowed factor so it can't take your rook then your next move should be Queen a3 then move the rook!

That blocks whites opening game (not all but a big part!)

Really playing as black has the same principles as white but you don't move first!

These are all of my strategy's and tactics i use to up my rating i hope you find these useful!
