I was 8 when my dad taught me the game. It was something we could do together for the rest of our lives. When he passed I found some of his games (some against me I had scored, some against others) and I could play them over. I can't explain how it feels to be able to play over his moves...I guess it's a way he is with me whenever I want. I teach chess, promote it, and direct a club.
