how i came up with my username and how i joined lichess

SILVERKNIGHT101 - how i came up with my username

Back in middle school i was in a chess team and was learning how to be a good team captain and try to help the others. long story short it was tough and very emotional for me not just in chess but for school and family as well. i became the star in the team and so i came up with the name SilverKnight101 as i remember i bought a gray or "silver" chess knight key chain at one of the scholastic tournaments which my coach payed for free. the name felt so special as i was the silver knight of the group, i always wanted to fight for not just myself but to prove to the world that i could win and make my team proud of me not just as a player but as a strong and good caring team captain who wanted to be the best like anyone else, thats how i got the name but originally it was named silverknight101. i also used that handle for my youtube channel but as of recently i decided to update my name with the capital letter rule, making it SILVERKNIGHT101 and thats the history of how i was the silver child, the channel origins, even my first lichess team, it all happened just from there. i did also before moving on want to say that i did watch lots of recommended lichess videos on youtube due to andrew tang and magnus carlsen streams which were part of the key reason for me being curious enough to join the site, the rest was history friends :)

How i Joined Lichess

it was march 2020, i honestly actually fumbled with my memory a bit as i thought it was in the summer but nope it was still in march and i was just playing on chess.com as usual or worrying about my normal life like normally any other teenager would do. it was then that after lots of curiosity i was like "why do so many like lichess" so i went into the play store and downloaded the lichess app. from there on i won my first game ever and started liking the site, i kept playing and playing for hours and hours without end with so much joy till i finally had to sleep for school and stuff which was so cool. then day in and day out i just kept loving lichess more not only cause of how free it was but cause it just ignited me with a sparkle to keep on trying with many new chess fans all doing the same, it was awesome. to end this small story, i like to show my first game ever played on the site thank you all again :)
