This is a blog about chess tactics! Do read it and post your views.

Hello everyone!
From today, I'm going to start a new blog series - Chess Tactics! So, what are Tactics? There are many ways to describe chess tactics, but perhaps the simplest way is to say that a chess tactic is a move (or series of moves) that brings an advantage to a player. This advantage can be material, like winning a piece, or even an attack that results in checkmate! Some of the basic tactics that we are going to see in this blog series are -

  1. Double attacks
  2. Forks
  3. Pins
  4. Skewers
  5. Discovered Attacks
  6. Decoys
  7. Remove The Defender
  8. Interference
  9. Trapped Pieces
  10. Promotion
  11. Intermediate moves
  12. Clearance

Some other types of tactics that we are going to learn in this series are -

  1. Zwischenzug
  2. Zugzwang
  3. X-Ray attack
  4. Windmill
  5. Underpromotion
  6. Overloading
  7. And a few more!

Hope to see you in this Blog Series! Have fun and do comment your views on this blog!
Thank You!
