Loosing too many games? These are some simple tips to help you play better!

STAY HYDRATED-

Drinking water is highly recommended before playing a game. Hydrating your body will help you focus more and therefore play better.

TAKE YOUR TIME-

Don't be afraid to take your time. Observe the board and find the best moves for your piece. The more time you take, the better you moves are. Lichess also allows you to adjust your 'chess clock' preferences so you never feel compelled make your move fast.

SLEEP WELL-

Make sure your mind and body are well rested before you play a game. Playing after an exhausting day of work is not recommended. Be rested and composed before a game.

CONSIDER CHESS LESSONS-

If you don't seem to be making any progress in chess, try considering chess lessons. Seeking professional guidance form certified tutors can have a remarkable impact on your progress in chess.

LIMIT YOUR GAMES-

Don't play too many games at a time, this can heavily impact your efficiency on the board. Instead, take regular breaks when playing for long hours. Only play more when you can afford to, don't push yourself.

TAKE SCREEN BREAKS-

If you are an online chess player, give your eyes regular breaks. Consider a blue light filter and place your device away form your face. This helps reduce eye strain and Myopia (Nearsightedness).

Try and follow games form reputed players. This helps improve your chess in multiple ways. Follow chess and Chess 24 are some popular websites to view upcoming tournaments.
