OpeningChess
Hello Everyone, Welcome to my chess Blog. Today we will learn some of the Best opening for White
  • Italian Game*- The Italian Game is one of the oldest openings in chess. After 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 white looks to centralize more material by bringing his bishop to c4. https://lichess.org/study/RHF6tfRj/eeaZRZi8/
  • Sicilian Defence-The Sicilian Defence is a chess opening that begins with the following moves: 1. e4 c5 The Sicilian is the most popular and best response to White's first move 1.e4.

  • Caro Kann- The Caro-Kann Defence is one of the most popular openings in response to the King’s Pawn Opening.
    1. e4 c6
Black responds with 1....c6 with the idea of thrusting forward with d5 on the next move, attacking the white central pawn on e4. The Caro-Kann Defence is one of the few defences in chess where black can reach equality in the main line and many people would consider black to have a better position, especially in the end game when the main line is played out.

  • Pirc Defence- The Pirc Defence is a hypermodern defence, meaning that it doesn’t try to control the centre early on with his pawns. Instead black tries to attack the centre with this minor pieces from the sides and then once the foundation is in place, then looks to undermine the centre control that white usually has.

  • Queen's Gambit- The Queen’s Gambit is probably the most popular gambit and although most gambits are said to be unsound against perfect play the queen’s gambit is said to be the exception. https://lichess.org/study/RHF6tfRj/lSCfb2CN*
  • Indian Defences- The King's Indian Defence is a common chess opening. It arises after the moves: 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 Black intends to follow up with 3...Bg7 and 4...d6. White's major third move options are 3.Nc3, 3.Nf3 or 3.g3, with both the King's Indian and Grünfeld playable against these moves.

  • English Opening- This position, also reachable through the move orders 1...e5/2.Nc3 Nf6, can lead to two important variations of the English opening depending on how white chooses to develop. 3.Nf3 is the natural developing move and more often than not it leads to the English four knights variation simply because black must defend his pawn and the most practical way to do it is with 3...Nc6. After this white will usually develop his bishop to g2 and castle kingside.

  • Réti Opening-The Réti Opening is a hypermodern chess opening. White plans to bring the d5-pawn under attack from the flank, or entice it to advance to d4 and undermine it later. White will couple this plan with a Kingside fianchetto (g3 and Bg2) to create pressure on the light squares in the center.
