A Treasure of British inventive Chess - IM Michael Basman

I met Michael Basman in the 1990s in the Florence Nightingale Museum in st thomas' hospital. He told me about his work teaching chess to kids. Great guy, Sadly missed
I remember reading his book "The New St George" and "You Cannot Be Serious!". I was inspired by it. Even his Creepy Crawly for white is a very creative opening (More of an Inverted St George.) Games he played gives you the impression that this person loves playing "Romantic" or "Coffee" Chess. This person is a legend and very creative. May your legacy live forever. Goodbye Michael Basman. We will miss you.
I remember him teaching kids at the LJCC to play the creepy-crawly and mate in 18 moves.
What a genius!! I would not have a problem playing against boring yet superior players for fun but I would never have played against Basman given the infinitely embrassing ways in which he could beat me.
