Women and Girls Do Play Chess
Women and Girls Do Play Chess is a FB group aimed at supporting and promoting women and girls in chess via content and activities. This Lichess group is being started amidst the 2020 Corona Virus crisis that has devastated to entire world and put most activities to a halt. In this moment of crisis we come together as women and girls in chess and continue to connect on and off of the board. Most of our lichess women's tournaments will also be coupled with zoom conferencing to allow women and girls to be able to connect with other women of chess in their area and throughout the globe.
GROUP RULES:
- This group is for women and girls only. PLEASE PRIVATELY REPORT TO THE TEAM LEADER IF YOU BECOME AWARE OF ANYONE IN THE GROUP WHO DOES NOT IDENTIFY AS A WOMAN.
- This group is solely for the promotion of Woman and Girls in Chess. Please do not post things not related to women and girls in chess.
- If you participate in the Ladies only Chess Chat on zoom you must have your video on (a picture will not work). We want everyone to feel comfortable and be able to connect with the person that they are speaking with. Zoom participation is optional.
- Harassment, sexism, racism, ageism and any other ism that you can think of will not be tolerated in the team room or in tournaments. Please report any incidents to the team leader immediately.
- The use of computers or any type of assistance while playing is not allowed. Anyone who is reported by lichess to be using assistance will be removed from the group.
