Remember guys that our next tournament is 10 days away. Don't forget to sign up, play wild and crazy and, first and foremost, have heaps of fun :)
Wild Vikings TEAM
Team leader: TomasThrainsson
@TomasThrainsson will be the team captain for the time being, but if a better suited person comes along, then he'll be happy to step aside and give control to that person.
As some of you know, Tomas is a streamer and has a channel on http://twitch.tv/tomasthrainsson
At the moment there are 2 scheduled streams per week, though there might be the odd change to that schedule due to family commitments and the like. Normal stream schedule is Friday evenings at 2000 UTC and Saturday mornings at 0800 UTC.
Those caught using an engine during games will get dropped from the team without any mercy, since the engine should only be used as a helping tool with analysis and pre-game preparations. That's how it was intended and how it should be used.
The plan is to host a bi-monthly classical tournament, most likely 5-7 rounds, of longer chess games. Details will be announced later. We'll also plan on stream simuls for those who are interested in taking part in them and/or possibly hosting them.
And above all else, have fun and be nice to each other. We're all here for the same reason: MAYHEM :D

OK folks, reserve Friday the 27th of December from 8:30PM UTC until 10:30PM for this fun fest. We require wild and crazy games and everybody having fun as much as possible. Beer optional, Dennis, a.k.
I'm all for longer games! But at the same time I also liked the 60 minute total tournament time, which is probably considered short by most people... Experimenting sounds like the way to go :)
Thanks for the input @Dario19503 I reckon we can experiment a lot here, as we're not bound by anything really, apart from me having this hangup against the bullet and blitz games lol
15 minutes per player is what I usually see in local tournaments. I was playing in a Romanian tournament not so long ago and the time control was 10+3. Some people prefer 10 minutes. These time contro
Hi guys We managed to have a tournament as a test run here within the team. We had 6 players play at various times in the tournament, which was a rapid time control, 5+5 and results can be shown at
No problem @aion I expected this to have a few hickups in the beginning. As time goes by we can hopefully make something like this a set bi-monthly event
