Tintin and the Sons of the Dragon

2 members

A team for all the lovers of Hergé's magnificent Adventures of Tintin series to discuss games, discuss Tintin, and help each other become better chess players.

Hergé's 1936 album, The Blue Lotus, was a turning point in his career as an artist and as a creator of the Tintin stories, introducing a deeper, darker, more complex and socially poignant plot than ever before, with an eye for attention and detail that would become a hallmark of the Tintin series. Many of Tintin's later adventures can be tied back to The Blue Lotus. One of the boy reporter's greatest friends, Chang Chong-Chen, and one of the central characters of Tintin in Tibet, is introduced. Tintin's longstanding battle with the opium trade begins. And Rastapopoulos---Moriarty to Tintin's Sherlock---makes his infamous first appearance.

The Son's of the Dragon is the name of Wang Chen-Yee's underground resistance group, fighting against Rastapopoulos' opium organization.

This team is specifically for those Tintin fans, long standing aficionados and recent converts alike, to gather and help each other grow in their study of chess.
