The Four Knights Game Arena

Description:

The Four Knights Game is a two-day chess competition organized along with various other events at this year's TantraFiesta, the biggest annual Tech Fest of IIIT Nagpur. “Pawns; they are the soul of chess”.
They alone can determine the attack and the defense, and the winning or losing of the game depends entirely on their good or bad arrangement.

Format:

The Four Knights Game consists of a two-round format which is discussed below in detail:
The format of Round 1 is an Online Swiss Tournament format. In a Swiss tournament, competitors meet one-on-one in each round.
The competitors will be paired with opponents having a similar score but not the same opponent more than once.
The competitor with the highest aggregate points earned in all rounds will be the winner of the first round.
All competitors play in each round unless there is an odd number of players.
Round 2 of the Chess Event will be a Head-to-Head tournament, in which the selected finalists of Round 1 will compete against a player of equal rating.
The matchups will be knockout-based, meaning that the losing player will get eliminated after each round.
The Head-to-Head Tournament will consist of three Rounds. Namely - Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals.
The Winner of the Final would be the Winner of the Event and they will get the title of Best.
