QE Barnet School Chess Team

This team is for tournaments to find players potentially strong enough to join the QE Chess Team.

To be eligible to enter you must be above AT LEAST ONE of the following ratings:
1400 Chess.com Blitz
1550 Chess.com Rapid
1700 Lichess Blitz
1850 Lichess Rapid
1400 ECF Standard/Rapid

In your entry request, you must state the following things:
Full name, form, rating by which you are eligible, and the name of the account with that rating.

If you wish to participate, the deadline for entry is 6pm on 1st March 2024.

There will be three tournaments.
The tournaments will be 10+5 Rapid 6-round Swiss events (so they will last roughly three hours each).
There will be a Grand Prix style leaderboard with more points available the higher your position. The exact number of points will be decided once all team members have joined. Those who finish in positions 1-10 will be eligible for a place on the QE Chess Team (though this is not guaranteed).

The first tournament will be on the 3rd March 2024 at 4pm.

On Fri 01/03, there will be a 3+2 blitz tournament for those new to the platform to get familiar with it. This will NOT count towards the leaderboard.
