K-12 Nationals 2022 Sparring Prep

The purpose of this group is to arrange some informal sparring games for my students in the lead-up to the K through 12 Scholastic Nationals on the weekend of December 9th. It'll take place just across the river from DC, so it's a unique opportunity to play in a big event that might otherwise be across the country. Let's make the most of it! If nothing else it'll be fun and a great experience.

The Nationals Championship time control will be game in 120 (2 hours) with a 5 second delay. So for your practice games I recommend doing at least 45 minute or 60 minute games with the 5 second delay, and more if you have the chance.

Take the initiative to coordinate matches with each other in the forum. We don't need to all play at once (though I may try to set up an event). Feel free to mention your grade and/or rating so that we can coordinate. But you are all strong and should provide a good challenge for each other. We can also plan for some game analysis. Good luck!
