Community College of Philadelphia Chess Club
Official chess club for the Community College of Philadelphia (CCP).
We are here to meet new people who love the game as we do, teach beginners how to play, and show them that the game of chess is fun.
We hope to go to tournaments and travel. Chess develops memory, improves concentration and develops logical thinking. You don't have to be a genius, just have an imagination and be creative. Chess also inspires self-motivation and develops a scientific way of thinking. Chess is a test of patience, nerves, and willpower. Most of all we are here to have fun and take a break from the stress of class when we can!
From former state champions to individuals who just picked up the game, we have all levels of players in the club. Everyone is welcome to join!
