Nuestro Club fue fundado por un grupo de ajedrecistas entusiastas el 20 de marzo de 1994. Desde sus orígenes estuvo radicada en la plaza de armas de la ciudad de Santiago de Chile, donde realiza, junto con otras entidades una gran actividad deportiva y comunitaria.
