@lenao so if I were to play 1. d5 2. dxc4 3. e6 would that still be QGD or would that now be QGA? Position is the same but the capture takes place on move 2 rather than move 3.

Thanks for explaining. Still seems odd when my moves were 2. d5 3. dxc4. I suppose it's just that the move order with 1. e6 meant it ended in a QGD position anyway.
