Everything you want to know about Lichess v2

Dá sa so zaťatými zubami hrať.
A netreba kvôli nemu znefunkčniť všetky webové prehliadače.
Ešte raz apelujem na tvorcov aby nám dali na výber a mohli sme prepínať medzi V1a V2 ??!!
Vopred ďakujem

Good evening Lichcess,
As I wrote, I have old PC, WIN XP and Firefox 52.
I had to take a good look to find a suitable alternative and play Lichess on my laptop.
I found, on the recommendation of "gbtami" Palemoon v28, where it still works well. You can play with clenched teeth. But even there are unreasonably scattered chessboard and letter sizes.
Everyone here praises the amazing changes made on the mobile device and it's now better. Although there are allegedly minor flaws, but it is towards the better.
But I ask you who today uses lichess through the web, on mobile and mobile devices?
However, there is a pretty good app that works without problems ???
I don't see why I should use lichess over the web on a mobile device ?? !!
A responsive design can also be created without the need to cross everything. And it is not necessary to render all web browsers unusable.
Once again I appeal to the creators to give us a choice and we could switch between V1 and V2 ?? !!
Thank you in advance
Can you separate the valid moves and premoves settings in Preferences? Maybe these were merged with V2. I want premoves but not valid moves.
I experience connection problems today, but problem is that my time is running out during game while I wait for opponent to move - due to some connectivity problems. Not good at all
anyone else having cpu usage issues in analysis board and explorer with the new design? stockfish turned off.

"As I wrote, I have old PC, WIN XP and Firefox 52."
Well that's your problem. You're using abandonware. Perhaps someone one archive.org can help you. But XP was released - I kid you not - in 2002, and was abandoned by microsoft over 5 years ago. Why in the name of f*** do you think free software developers are going to bend over backwards to support it? 17 years, man. Your PC's OS is 17 years old. "It is very important that customers and partners migrate to a modern operating system such as Windows 10" - Microsoft, about XP. Where do you think Lichess developers should draw the line? Should they support windows 98? 95? "Why should I get a new pc blah blah blah"? Because your PC is too old and no-one's writing software for it any more, that's why.
In the ancient days browsers grew up 'minimum font size' setting to rescue against developers making their fonts too small. The developers got creative, and now we have fonts too big without browsers supporting 'max font size'.

Here is a quick rescue against 'fonts too big' on lichess.org. Please research how to insert this CSS into your own userContext.css file. It works for Firefox & Chrome. It works only on your machine, the userContent.css never gets to the Internet.

/* lichess.com proper fonts */
@-moz-document domain(lichess.org) {
/* title annoying */
.site-title {
display: none !important;
}
/* headers too big */
h1, h2 {
font-size: 1.4em !important;
}
h3, h4 {
font-size: 1em !important;
}
/* landing page new game table */
.clock {
font-size: 1em !important;
}
/* current game clock too big */
.time {
font-size: 1.4em !important; font-family: sanf-serif !important;
}
}
I believe that this update makes everything look much more modern. Everything that used to have a reaction to hovering over it looks much smoother. Lichess is beautiful at the moment. The size doesn't seem to be an issue, it actually looks much spacier and less scrunched up. On top of that, lichess has retained both its functionality and personality, with substantial upgrades to both. I really don't understand why people don't like the new sizes; worst case they still are just sizes.
Ok, I think I got used to it pretty fast after changing the board size to 26%, I've played yesterday and it was smooth. Thanks to the developers for their hard work.
The only thing I'm missing now is seeing who is watching the game with you in the TV page. I know it doesn't really matter as you don't even have an option to chat there, but it was nice seeing who else is watching the game.
