2v2 chess matches

I am proposing an idea that can add variety and fun to the game.
What about implementing an oppurtunity that allows to play a chess match with 4 players, meaning that 2 players (of approximately equal level) are on each side. The players on each side take turns making moves. (All communication disabled).

I will explain the idea with an easy example:
Players on white side: Bob and Rick.
Players on black side: Sean and Ryan.
1. e4 by Bob e5 by Sean
Now instead of Bob, Rick gets to play the next move for white. Same goes for black, where the next move is played by Ryan instead of Sean.
2. Nf3 by Rick Nc6 by Ryan.
Third moves are now played by Bob and Sean again, and so on.

I think that this would be something truly amazing, because it would require players to try to understand the ideas behind their teammate's moves and combine strategies to lead their game to the ultimate victory.
This would also be a possible feature that would invite more players to Lichess, because it is currently not available at any online chess website.

If you would like to see this idea in action, played by world champions, go to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS2cehTjHvc&;

Let me know your opinions and thoughts on this!
Well, I guess this is sort of like the Bug house problem. How would the match-making work? What if 1 player opts for a draw, leaves, or resigns?
Whoever is creating a lobby for 2v2 match gets to choose the maximum and minimum rating for who can join.
After 4 players have joined the match, they can see each other's ratings and must confirm that they are okay with the matchup.
About draws, there are two possible ways of settling it:
1. If any player decides that they want to offer a draw, one must first get the permission from the teammate to offer a draw.
---For example, Bob and Rick are on the same team. Bob wants a draw and presses the "offer draw" button. Rick gets notified that Bob wants to offer a draw. Rick confirms it and draw offer is sent to the opposite team.---
Same goes for accepting the draw, both players must be okay with this.
2. Not allowing draw offers, but rather have the draw played out on the board.

Resigning could work the same way as i mentioned about offering a draw in point 1.

Leaving could be punished with a penalty that would temporary not allow user to play team based chess. Repetitive leaving could get an even longer temporary ban or a symbol next to the player that notifies other players that this player tends to leave often(Like players who use computer assistance).
Sorry to reopen this old thread... but why would I play 1.. e5 ;)
