The Rebirth of Why politics on Lichess?

> There are a few flaws in that. Mainly heatwaves and floods. The main issue when people try to be credible by saying "This is what will happen!!!" is that the silent majority (that's 95% of the population) just waits and see. Then, when it doesn't happen, we assume the rest of their divine gift to foretell the future is also dogshit like every single fortune teller to ever live before them.

> Did you know, capitalism was supposed to die in 5 years, then by 1940, then for sure in 1950, and in 1960 we would all be commies and yet, here we are while communist states fail or adopt capitalism like China did in the 90s. It's always the same thing, people want money, they create a need (saving the planet for example) and then they try to sell it to the masses in the hopes of picking up a few useful idiots that will follow them around like cult members. Look to the past and you'll see charlatans have always existed so you may avoid them in the future.
If you're gonna live with technology from 50 years ago, buy a time machine and stay there forever. If you're gonna live in today's era, listen to science. Because it can very well save your life.
My God, who should read the whole posts with the countless links?
I certainly don't.

Science is not a religion. There is nothing to listen to. Science is just the objective documentation of reality based on a hypothesis. If it asks questions after gathering the data, it is fake. If it suggests to act to protect someone's emotions, it is fake. If it tries to determine what is right and wrong, it is fake. By fake of course I mean financed by malicious actors.

Question science at every turn, as it is meant to be. You'll see that when you question real science, they won't turn to anyone to try to intimidate you and some will even go further and test that too to make sure their facts are right.

You know what the brave people who sold you their climate lies all have in common? They really hate it when someone walks a different path than they do. Just try walking off of their beaten path and they will label you an enemy quicker than you think. Once you realize that, only then do you start to immunize yourself from their tricks.

I did, sometimes there are interesting things. It's like looking at a game between two 900-rated players. There's not much to learn, but sometimes, they make interesting (unintentional) sacrifices. Look for the article about Congo, it's surreal and I triple-checked to make sure I wasn't on a spoofed site.
(btw the guardians is funded by special interests and they also added a paywall, but if you get ublock origin and disable javascript on their site, you can read everything but cant play with their fancy buttons)

Did you count the molecules yourself, or is it a quote?

And another question.
The atmosphere has the most nitrogen, N2. Why is this gas not referred to as greenhouse?

I believe that is nitrous oxide you meant to say instead of nitrogen, and yes that is on there.

How about you test it yourself, Mr. Smartypants.

Also science is all about asking questions.

I haven't sold anything. Only you have sold any lies about climate change.
I remember finding Mr. Greenjeans rather frightening . Just something about him....

Because it has an infrared (IR) absorption spectrum very different from those of the greenhouse gasses (GHGs). Molecular nitrogen doesn't absorb any IR radiation (thermal radiation at around 290 K) emitted by the Earth's surface [1]. N2 is a very simple molecule (only 2 rotational and only 1 vibrational degrees of freedom) and its triple bond is one of the strongest bonds found in any diatomic molecule. GHGs like carbon dioxide, water vapour, methane (among others) do absorb IR radiation (as these are more complex molecules with more rotational and vibrational degrees of freedom, some of which can be excited by IR radiation leading to absorption) and therefore contribute to the greenhouse effect [2][3].
