In more than a few occasions, the system ignores my setting for opponent's rating range. Sometimes the deviation is more than 100 points. For example, my setting is 1900 minimum and I get opponents with 1780.

To continue my thought, due to this "mulfunction", I quite often, find myself in the unpleasant position to abort games with much lower rated opponents. As you all understand, losses from 1780-1820 opponents, cost me when I am in +1900 range.
1) The quick pairing buttons ignore your range. You must always use the Custom or Create game buttons
2) I think the New opponent button after a game respects your range - as long as you got the original game from a seek with a range as in 1). If it was from a direct challenge or from someone else's seek that you accepted, the range isn't applied
3) This clearly isn't your issue (but I'm including it anyway since it is for many of the people creating threads like this), but there are limits to the range in relation to your own rating. Specifically, the minimum cannot be more than 400 points above your rating, and the maximum cannot be more than 400 points below your rating.
