pairings!

Posted one additional question in the other info thread, but I will x-post it here for visibility:

"Hi @the-lone-wolf, @PepsiNGaming, and whoever else is in charge here...

Before we reach too late in the tournament, can we clarify exactly how the top 8 candidates will be decided from the bracket? Since it is a double-elimination bracket I presume making the quarterfinals alone does not qualify you, but rather that the winner and the last 7 other players to lose twice are in? After backtracking through the Losers' bracket it therefore seems (if I am not mistaken) that reaching either the Semifinals or Losers Round 5 should guarantee you a spot in the final 8. And thus, there is no point in playing these or any subsequent rounds, correct?"
@MagnusXL You just have to make it to the 4th round in the winners bracket.

If you lose, you have to make it to the 4th round and win that game in the losers bracket
Link is correct: the 8 players advancing will be 4 players on perfect score and 4 players who only have lost once
@MagnusXL regarding #40 I am going to give some limit on the maximum time to play a match for obvious reasons, but if you want to play round 2 already that's very fine with me: no need to wait for the next week, I understand that people don't always have the time to play and it's better to optimize times
Huh wow, that's a pretty hard move to find. I attempted a couple of similar moves (finding success with some tricky queen moves) earlier in the series, but that would have been a helpful find there. Thanks for the tip!
It's easy to find nice moves in someone's game ... and to blunder in my own.
Everyone is twice as good in hindsight and while spectating!
The second round matchup between PepsiNGaming and FalconPower will take place on Saturday.
