Why am I losing games where the board won't even pull up?
I was trying to get my rating up and have played in several tournaments to do this but then it gets decimated by some stupid bug in the system. I think have 5 or 6 loses in my history from this. It ruins my tournament and my rating.

http://en.lichess.org/tUKfV9nfI had something similar to that were it won't let me join or create a game. And on the top of the page it says network error and reconnecting. This might be the problem.
I refreshed the page multiple times, tried closing the browser, tried relogging in (by then it was too late). Why do I lose 33 rating points because of this stupid bug?
This is not a bug. There are sometimes connectivity problems. No server can take care of this.
I understand why it happens and that it can't be fixed. My issue is that I'm losing the games and a ton of rating points because of it. Give me a loss, fine, but why should my rating suffer such a hit without even making a move!
In this case I think it was a bug, actually. I heard the tone alerting me I was paired in the tournament. When I switched back to the tab, it was still on the tournament page. I could see the preview of the game down below the standings. I saw moves being played on the other boards in the preview area. When I tried refreshing the game it asked me if I was sure I wanted to leave the page. All indicative of having a connection. I don't think I want to play on a site that punishes me for stuff like this. I shouldn't lose rating points without a single move played.
