What is better: to solve tactics on the screen or choose more difficult ones and solve them over the real chess board?
Actually I do not like "mating exercises" as shown under point 4. I searched for the mate myself, and always thought: Okay, I can get a very good position, but I do not find the mate. The simple reason is, that it is possible for white to give up the queen in order to prolong the game. So in the end the mate is not forced and I encountered similar problems on other occasions, too.
Otherwise, it was a good read and I think it might help some players to improve.
