I agree, IM Gedajlovic. Playing passively is not good at all, unless you are playing the hedgehog defense (hedgehog is not really passive, because pawn breaks are a theme in it). I do find that players playing stronger opponents tend to opt for the passive side, as well. Excellent article!
Great article, keep them coming! That's basically what I repeat to my students all the time: take the initiative and you'll see yourself swimming in draw offers!

Don't accept the draw from a strong player though: they are almost certainly losing already if they offer it.
