I have accidentally offered several draws because of this. What makes it worse is there is no chance to retract the draw offer and no confirmation message to give me a chance to avoid it.

No worries. The website is far safer than the mobile app for avoiding these kinds of mistakes.
I wholeheartedly agree with adding a confirmation to the draw offer on the mobile app. I have had very few players take advantage of an accidentally sent draw offer, but it's still a problem that you can easily press draw and have no confirmation when you mean to go to the analysis board. Or as the OP said, they could at least be moved to different areas so that it isn't so easy to do.
I've done this once myself, in a winning position too. Fortunately my opponent was nice enough to decline it.
