Tokyo, May 10 (Jiji Press)--The Japanese government at a cabinet meeting Tuesday decided to freeze assets of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and 140 other individuals as part of Tokyo's additional sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

Tokyo also decided to ban exports to 71 organizations, including those in the shipbuilding and computer industries.

Also among the individuals added to the asset freeze list are officials of the Russian government and of pro-Russian militant groups in Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine.

"We are extremely shocked to see the devastations, the severity of the humanitarian crisis and the sheer destruction in each (Ukrainian) city" that fell victim to the Russian aggression, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno said at a press conference.

I agree!! The whole world is afraid of Nuclear war. So it must be also that Russia is afraid of nuclear war too. So on the conventional battlefield it is a mistake to let Russia "keep winning" . If they see they can almost keep winning and then they think they will lose. ?? That is the crazy time they may use a nuclear weapon to try and keep winning. But if they see that no matter what, they cannot win in the end, then they will cease the war at some point. The more they (the Russians) fight the worse it will get for them. Because ALL the world is against them now. (2022-06-29) So soon they will admit their mistake and they will retreat. Then with new leadership they will begin the rebuilding. It is too late to "save face"!! Saving face is an over done emotional reaction that too many people and nations think about. There is no saving face now for criminal action.
So in summary this topic is to take a poll to see if Lichess should ban Russian players. A good argument to say YES Ban them is what this person ""LegendaryQueen " said. It will make nuclear war LESS likely.

For the war, the only responsible are Putin and his men not all Russians.
