Based on the number of players so far (42) and because entry closes today I'm confident that there will be 6 rounds. Therefore the timetable will look like this:
30 Oct - 5 Nov = Round 1
6 Nov - 12 Nov = Round 2
13 Nov - 19 Nov = Round 3
20 Nov - 26 Nov = Quarter-Finals
27 Nov - 3 Dec = Semi-Finals
4 Dec - 10 Dec = Final
I'll do my best to stick to the above. It may be altered in extreme cases, at my (the TD's) discretion. An example would be if the players in the final can't find a good time the deadline could be extended. This is much less likely to be allowed in earlier rounds, especially if good notice isn't given, as this would then have a knock-on impact.
Unlike last year the qualification round (round 1) will this year be part of the main bracket. This is to simplify the tournament and also lets everyone be part of the main bracket. Some of the higher seeds are likely to receive byes into round 2.
