Connection problems?

You might be playing a great game, but then the red box appears in the lower-left-hand corner of the screen that says "reconnecting."

From my experience, that means your game is pretty much over.

You hit the refresh button, and you hope to be reconnected, but when you return, you discover that your opponent has won.

This happens about 25% of the time.

Is this chess? It doesn't seem like it. Pity, because it's the best platform out there other than the fact that you are apparently gambling on whether or not you're allowed to play before your connection goes out.

Anyone else feel the same way?
Well, I guess those who have bad internet connection feel the same way. But what you expect from lichess? It can only wait some time for your internet connection restored, and if it is not restored in a short time the game is over; lichess would not wait you 10 mins, because your opponent would not like it.

PS: I experience "Reconnection" issue when I am temporarily loosing connection with my Internet provider only. It regularly happens in a certain time of a day, and it has nothing to do with lichess.
Yeah, if I had bad internet connection elsewhere, I'd agree. But I don't. That's sort of why I'm asking why it happens here. I'm just wondering how many other people are annoyed by the sudden interruption, and if there's anything that can be done about it.
This is what I'm talking about: imgur.com/a/qCZ38Ez

It was exactly then that the "reconnecting" square appeared.

I almost lost the game because of it, as it took half a minute for me to recover from whatever connection issue had occurred.

And I've lost plenty of them for the same reason.

What I'm wondering is why it happens, and if it's as prolific of a problem as it seems to be to me for other players.
