Would be interesting to have an extra feature for casual games where you can choose to remove pieces from the board (like the queen or any piece you like) if you want to have a chance against a much higher rated player or your teacher/coach, for training sessions.

You can use the board editor to edit starting positions. For example, I used to play with my friends, games where both sides started with only (all eight) pawns and their respective kings. I called it "a pawnful experience".

It would also be cool for a time control handicap feature! Sometimes I play with my friends who are beginners and it would be fun to set something up where I have 1 minute and they have 15 minutes, for example. It would make the game more interesting and fun for both! I would love if lichess would add something like this, at least for casual games.
#4 You can use the +Time button to do this. For example, start a 1+0 game and have the higher rated player click +Time until the lower rated player gets to 15 minutes.
